Northern Europe 2019, day 13: Tallinn
Friday the 16th: We took a ferry to Helsinki for the final city of our trip. The ride was fairly short—just about 2.5 hours. It was quite a madhouse getting on board; lots of people trying to get on at the same time. We all sort of moo’d along, like cattle.
The sun decks were all occupied by smokers, so we didn’t hang outside very long. We’ve noticed that there are a lot of smokers in Europe (not so much Iceland) and it was hard to avoid.
Anne: Yes, they haven’t gotten the message yet!
We ate some lunch on the ferry. Anna got a kid’s box without knowing what was inside (it was written in Estonian and maybe Russian). It was sort of a crap shoot, and she lost: whole grain bun with cheese, grapes, raw cauliflower, and tomatoes. I guess you could say that I won!
