LA Weekend 2022, day 2
Brunch on Sunset! Met a lovely chatty lady at a neighboring table who bought us a drink. Profession of said lady is up in the air.
At the Broad Museum, Laura enjoying the mundane.
I love this Basquiat because it makes me want to solve its mystery and discover the message.
Reflection in mirrored windows…waiting for an Uber and trying not to think about the heat.
Beautiful landscaping that is quintessentially Southern California
This was taken outside of Spritz in Little Tokyo, which is where we had lunch. It was tasty, but I regretted having Mediterranean food when I saw all the Japanese restaurants during our after-meal walk.

In the Arts District, having some refreshments. Chewy was getting restless at this point, and Rath was busy keeping him occupied. Yes, like a toddler.
Le bon ton rule!
The restaurant is in an area with a bustling gay nightlife scene. We sat outside and enjoyed the warm weather, great food (I got my Japanese!), and creative outfits. Very much reminded me of the Castro!
Agedashi tofu with bonito flakes that danced
Rath went back to his friend’s house in Anaheim, and we went in search of a nail place for a quick mani. We found The Nail Place, which gave us an express polish and a sobering dose of the day’s news. Went back to the hotel to relax for a bit, and then headed out again. This place is in West Hollywood, about 15 minutes from our hotel.
