Japan, Osaka
Japan 2025, day 3: Osaka
Dennis: You go Anna…
One view from our hotel, Almont Niporri. We have a corner room, so there’s another side of windows.
Dennis: Sharing pics with mom and Cyncha
We slowly made our way through the Tokyo Station towards our Shinkansen departure platform. Strangely enough, the process for purchasing tickets and actually using them is less than efficient; but, our 12:33 train to Osaka departed at 12:33, and we were on it…so all is well.
Shinkansen (aka Bullet Train) awaits
We grabbed a bento at one of the mini marts on the platform. The food is great quality and super tasty; cold green tea is a must in the 90F* heat. The plastic bag is for our trash. Japan is super clean and it is the norm to take your mess with you (imagine that!).
Getting ready for some okonomiyaki…Fire it up!
Am I asleep? Probably.
Cold biru for a hot lady 😉
Okonomiyaki is a pancake made with vegetables, egg, sometimes noodles and usually meat or seafood. Regions tend to have their own style of preparing it, so this is the Osaka way. Don’t ask me the difference; I think it’s quite subtle.
Okonomiyaki Biton menu…sorry for the odd angle. It was hanging on the wall.
